Duhitha and Daughter

Duhitha and Daughter

Yes. Duhitha is the right answer.

दुह means to milk. Thousands of years ago, daughters had the right and privilege to milk the cows. Hence the name दुहिता , meaning, the one who milks (கறப்பவள்)

Did you notice the similarity in the sounds between ‘duhitha’ and ‘daughter’? Many Sanskrit words, especially those referring to relationships have such similarity. Mother, माता Father पिता, Brother भ्राता

Coming back to English, we find that in English Alphabet we have 5 vowels, 2 semi-vowels and 19 consonants. Which are the semi vowels? Why are they known so?
